In sync with our objective to build credibility about Indian wines, particularly Ritu wines, in the global market we continue to participate in all important and prestigious International competitions where the wines are ‘blind tasted’ alongside some of the world’s most respected brands.
- CWSA is the biggest wine and spirits competition in China and one of the most respected in Asia. All the wines entered are tasted according to varietal, style and ageing potential. The panel of judges, known as the 'powerhouse' of decision making in Hong Kong and China, comprised the most influential distributors, importers, hoteliers and sommeliers who are highly specialised and experienced in the demands of the market.
- The Global Masters, introduced by The Drinks Business in 2013, measures every wine on the taste of its grape and the skill of the winemaker. For the first time all preconceived ideas about the importance of location are pushed to one side as wines from across the world are judged by style and price exclusively. Each tasting identifies the best examples of its chosen grape variety from all around the world in every price range. Similar to the previous editions of Global Pinot Noir Masters and Global Chardonnay Masters, the Global Sauvignon Blanc Masters was judged by the finest palates in the world – a panel of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and senior buyers only Since inception Ritu varietal and reserve wines have been enticing well-known wine authorities such as Steven Spurrier, Robert Joseph, David Bird and Bruno Paumard with its wine style and quality. And with a total of 29 international awards in the last four years, it has without doubt taken a leap in establishing Indian wines in the league of ‘New World wines’ that can be enjoyed by global wine consumers.
